George Lubin Memorial Award

Mission:  The mission of this committee is to review nominations for the Society’s highest award. Fellow Nominating Committee.
Chair:  Allan Crasto
Commitment:  This committee meets as needed via conference call.

Mort Kushner Lifetime Achievement Award

Mission:  This committee selects SAMPE members whose volunteer activities for the Society have been extraordinary.
Chair:  SAMPE Global President
Commitment:  This committee meets as needed via conference call.

Fellow Award

Mission: This group’s mission is to review the nominations of SAMPE members who may qualify for the designation of SAMPE Fellow.
Chair: Tia Benson Tolle
Committee Members: This committee is composed of six SAMPE Fellows, the Immediate Global Past President and Global Executive Vice President (ex-officio)
Commitment: This committee meets between January and March for three one-hour conference calls.  An additional four – six hours are spent independently reviewing nomination packets.

Akio Shindo Memorial Award

Mission: This committee selects individuals and groups that have meritoriously fostered the advancement of carbon fiber, carbon fiber reinforced composite materials, and their technologies, and/or enhanced the attainment of the objectives of the carbon materials fields.
