During 2007, The SAMPE Corporate Partnership Program is contributing $10,000 of the committee’s funds to 3 specific SAMPE Student efforts including the Student Symposium, Bridge & Wing Building contests, and SAMPE Student Leader Experience Award. Each year, aspiring SAMPE Student Members compete to present papers at the Student Symposium, and to participate in the Bridge and Wing Building contests, both held annually at the International SAMPE Symposium & Exhibition (ISSE). Additionally, a new program has been established in 2007 titled the SAMPE Student Leader Experience Award. In this new program student leaders will be sent to the SAMPE ’07 Conference and Exhibition in Baltimore, June 3 – 7, 2007 where they will be able network with peers and industry professionals, and gain exposure to the state-of-the-art in advanced material systems. The majority of the $10,000 will support travel expenses for the students involved in these 3 programs. These top performing students represent the future of the Advanced Materials industry, and our financial support helps to ensure that the best and the brightest receive the opportunities they deserve.
