The SAMPE Asia 2012 Conference and Exhibition will include a poster session for students. This is a great opportunity for students to showcase their research in front of an engaged and connected community of materials and processes engineering professionals.

Students should submit a 200-300 word abstract to Michelle@sampe.org by October 1, 2011.

1. A 90 minute open session (during breaks) with various presenters. This session allows attendees to interact with the presenters one-on-one.
2. Supplies will be provided: Tri-fold Display Board of 1200 mm x 900mm, Markers, Push Pins, Tapes, Table, etc.
3. Poster size: A1 (841 mm x 594 mm)
4. Poster orientation: Portrait
5. Language: English
6. Content: Poster must contain Abstract, Methodology, Findings, Conclusions, Impact to the Nation, Name and contact address.

Evaluation

Reviewers will be selected from the academic members of the Institute who are not Institute academics and researchers. The review process has been standardized and reviewer’s decisions are based on overall quality of the poster: Content, Research Importance, Ingenuity and Innovativeness. Marks will be given to each poster during the judging on the second day of the conference. The winner of the poster will be determined based on the highest total score.
